Hi there. I really like your article about the Toto bidet toilet seat. I personally think it is very smart for people to have these in their homes. not only does it save you on toilet paper cost but its hands free. for example, at restaurants they have hand sensor soap, water and hand dryers. it is more sanitary to have hands free options.

Glad you liked the article. Hands free is the way to go for sure. The more convenient, the better it is.

Thank you very much for this review of the TOTO Washlet A200 Elongated Bidet Toilet Seat.

It looks amazing and the features are great, especially for people that have limited mobility.

I was wondering how you can install this toilet seat in your home. Is this something you can do on your own, or do you need somebody to install it? And does it fit to every common toilet, or only to specific ones?

Are there any other places to purchase this Toilet Seat, as the amazon link shows that there are no available seats anymore.

I would be happy to know some alternative pages where to buy this product for the best price 🙂

    Best regards,

      Hi, Mia,

You can install the TOTO bidet for yourself by following our guide here, or you may want to consider getting your local plumber or using Amazon installation services to have the outlet installed – the choice is yours really.

Yes, this particular TOTO bidet is designed to fit most toilets, however, I would recommend that you also take a look at the official fit chart here just to make sure.

The Amazon link to purchase this bidet has them as being available now and you can also visit the official TOTO website to make your purchase, but know that the best price in available on Amazon.

Please let me know if you have additional questions. I hope this helps and thank you for reading and leaving your questions 🙂

Wow , this looks like the ultimate toilet seat. I love the heated seat option. No one likes to sit on a cold bowl. My question is, are these difficult to clean? The bidet seat that we have now does not have all the options this seat has but it is a pain to clean in between small open areas. Thanks for your help!

      Hey, Nicole,

Yes, TOTO are manufacturing some of the best quality toilet seats on the market today.  They are definitely one of the leaders in the Bidet Toilet Seats Industry.

And no, they are not very difficult to clean at all.  In fact, read the proper steps on how to clean a bidet toilet seat here and you will see how easy it is.

I see that bidets are becoming more and more popular in the United States. One of the reasons I was excited about traveling to Europe is to experience the comfort of a bidet. Now I don’t have to.

I didn’t know they came with so many features. I wonder how much a person could save by not having to buy toilet paper.

A whole lot of money can be saved per year when you make the switch over to a Bidet Toilet Seat.

You will find that many of them are being manufactured with air dryers and they are getting more advanced each year.

    Hi there,

    Great article!

I used to live in Europe a few years ago, and there, every house has a bidet in the bathroom. Today, I live out of Europe, and unfortunately, there is no bidet. My new house is under construction, and I will definitely put a bidet in each bathroom. The Washlet A200 seems to be comfortable and useful. I will show it to my husband since we already plan to buy several bidets. I would like to know though if there is a warranty, I didn’t see it anywhere in the article. If so, what is the limit?

Thank you very much for this useful article!

Thanks for your review of the Toto Washlet A200 Elongated Toilet Seat. As a real estate agent I can say that we are seeing more and more new construction house bathrooms in my market area offering a bidet. Your review offers information that will help owners upgrade to that market trend.

Well this Bidet Toilet Seat looks amazing. I have not had a lot of experience with bidets except for when I was stationed in Japan. I think that they are wonderful, but here in the U.S. they almost seem taboo for some reason. I like the idea of everything being hands free. I don’t think I saw a cost for the seat anywhere, what is the cost of the unit?

      Hey Nate!

You can find the cost of the bidet toilet seat when you hover over the image or click on it.

We sure have come a long way when it comes to toilet seats, I can remember the outside toilets at our camp when I was a kid how cold those seats would get.

This does sound like the perfect toilet seat for every family, I was wondering is this toilet seat a one size fits all or not?

    • Advance My House
      March 13, 2018 @ 10:52 am

      Hey Jeffery.

Yes, it’s true that we are advancing in every way with toilet seats. Bidet toilets are the true modern way of using the toilet.

This particular TOTO Bidet seat is suitable for all body sizes.

    Hi there,

I am not too familiar with bidets but am interested in the savings. I live in the United States and am renovating my home currently. Can I easily swap out a toilet or just the seat on my toilet with one or do I need additional plumbing to complete the job?

    • Advance My House

      Hey Tony,

You can easily swap out your current toilet seat with this TOTO Bidet seat. This article will help you with removing and replacing one without hiring a plumber.

As someone who is trying to minimize my carbon foot print, this seems like a very eco-friendly purchase that can help lower or diminish my family’s paper product use.
I love how you talked about how adjustable it is with the pressure and water temperature. My question is, are you able to adjust the controls on the actual seat itself as well as the remote? My concern is that my young children could get a hold of it and make changes or get hurt.

    Thank you for your response!

      Hi Jenny,

With this TOTO A200 Washlet Model, the controls are only located on the wireless remote, which can be easily mounted at a safe height & out of the reach of small children.

The first thing that anyone should take into account is the water pressure. My wife and I bought another brand, and it only had two settings. Big no-no. I like that the TOTO offers 5 settings, and quite frankly wish I had found this earlier. Its funny, you don’t normally put a lot of thought into these kind of things, even though you are likely to have them for years.

Yeah, I know what you mean, Chris.

It’s a good thing that you are now more educated when it comes to choosing the right bidet for your home.

I see that this has an adjustable water temperature control. How does it work? Does the seat heat up the water, or is it necessary to connect a hot water supply to the seat? I’m curious to know how much plumbing will be necessary to install this, and if I will need to hire a professional.

    • Advance My House
      March 31, 2018 @ 9:29 pm

Hi CJ508, The TOTO A200 Washlet has a tank that will heat the water. You will only need to connect the washlet to your incoming water supply to the toilet.

So the water temperature and actual seat temp are individually adjustable.

Installing the washlet is also quite easy and does not require a plumber (unless you really want to).

The first thing you want to do is Prepare the Area > Install the washlet seat mounting bracket >slide the washlet onto the bracket, then finally connect the washlet’s hose. It’s really that simple.

All detailed instructions will be included with the Washlet , so no need to worry.

If you do have any other questions or concerns, please contact us.

It is funny and timely that I ran across your blog post because about a week ago, my husband and I saw a similar type of toilet in Lowes when we were working on a different bathroom project. He was slightly confused by the whole thing, but I tried to explain a bidet toilet to him, without much success. And I would really like to have one, but first, he must be on board too!

I am going to forward him this article and see if it helps to get my point across.

    Thanks for your help

Hello, thanks for a in depth review of the TOTO A200. The base product seems sufficient but I must admit I think I would opt for the middle of the road Bidet. I think the upgrade with the added features would be the better choice for my needs. I know my family would appreciate the room deodorizer. Lol

The TOTO Washlet A200 Elongated Bidet toilet seat is an excellent choice. I am really liking the price. There is over $200 in savings. I had my heart set on the warm water feature so I don’t know if I will get this one. Do you have any recommendation for a bidet toilet seat with the warm water feature at a lower price like this one?

    • Advance My House
      April 23, 2018 @ 2:31 pm

      Hi, Jonathan!

It is true that the TOTO A200 is a great choice with decent savings.

And just so it’s clear for you, it also comes with the warm water feature, so it will be a good choice, since this is something that you seem to be most interested in.

The Smart Bidet SB 1000 is what we recommend as an alternative to the TOTO as it relates to a lower price.

I hope this help you to make a great decision!

I have been to Europe many times and my relatives there have bidets. I think they are wonderful and I would love to have one of these. How hard is it to convert from a conventional toilet to this type of bidet? I see it is plugged in and I do not have an outlet by the toilet. Is this a hard thing to accommodate as well?

    • Advance My House
      April 24, 2018 @ 6:20 am

      Hi, Matt’s Mom,

I am glad that you have become motivated to get a bidet in your home. This is always a smart decision to make.

The process of converting from a conventional toilet to a bidet requires that you follow a process.

You can view the step by step guide here and follow along to get this done properly.

You would also need to get an outlet installed near the bidet toilet seat in order to get it working.

You can contact your local electrician to get this sorted out. It’s really not a complicated process.

I hope this helps you out, and feel free to stop by again if you need any further advice.
