Best Travel Bidet: What to Get?

For us, amongst the three, the one that you should get is the Leka Travel Bidet. We chose this one as it is the usual case where the pros outweigh the cons.

It might not have the intricate adjustable design of the other two travel bidets, but at least with this one, you benefit from the convenience of not having to cover an air hole. It is the only one in the list where you will not experience leaks, as well as the easiest to squeeze.

Your arm might strain a bit because of the nozzle design, but definitely, there should be an amount of control on your part to clean sensitive areas properly. You would instead do circular motions with the bidet than have the nozzle touch your skin, right?

This product would have been perfect if the neck could be pushed down for easier storage. However, dumping out the water and unscrewing the cap might just be deliberate so that you can immediately clean the bidet after use. In the end, you have a win-win situation; you get to be so clean and you also have a clean travel bidet.

  1. These are unique products! I am curious is it small enough to conceal? Or is it mainly for use at home and in hotels when away on a trip?

  2. This was a very helpful post. We are looking for something like this that we can take on the road in the RV and camping trips.

We are totally new to the idea of bidet. When it comes to personal travel bidet, do most people buy their own? Or does a family share one?

It seems like as long as everyone cleans up good after use, one should be enough.

Which one of these bidet would be best for a family?

    Thanks!

  3. Advance My House

    Hi there.

We recommend that each person own their own travel bidet since this is more of a personal item.

The type which will be best for you and your family members is determined by what you are looking for as it relates to the features, pros, cons, etc.

However, as mentioned in the article, the Leka Travel Bidet is what’s personally recommended since the pros outweighs the cons.

I hope this helps you out. and thank you for stopping by to leave a comment.

  4. Hi Jason,

I must admit I’ve never considered carrying a portable bidet with me on my travels. Presumably, the idea is fill it up with water in the bathroom of wherever you happen to be when you need it? Or do you recommend filling it up at home or your hotel before you go out? The opaque bag is a nice touch, but if you prefer to fill it up before going out, won’t the nozzle stick out?

BTW, I live in Japan, and I miss modern Japanese toilet technology when I travel back to Europe, so now you’ve got me thinking!

  5. Wow! I haven’t seen an actual bidet yet, and now I’ve read about having a travel bidet. I’m guessing if I went to a big city like New York City, I might see them. This is a great idea for constant travelers whether for work or vacation. Have they been out long and have you tried any of them?

  6. Advance My House

    Hey, David,

Yes, it’s very convenient to carry a travel bidet whenever you’re on the go.

It’s better when you fill it up with water in the bathroom since you will know that you are going to make use of it. Some people do choose to fill it up beforehand, however, we do not necessarily recommend that strategy.

Glad to know that this article has peaked your interest.

  7. Advance My House

    Hey, Kevin,

    Thanks for stopping by…

Bidets are increasingly becoming more and more popular, especially in the US.

The original bidet was invented in the 17th century, so they have been around for a very long time now.

You can read up more about bidets on this page This will give you a full understanding about Bidets.

I have tried quite a number of bidets and I really love the way they are able to clean properly.

Favorite one used so far is the TOTO Washlet A200.

Once you use it for the first time, you will find it quite difficult to go back to a more traditional one.

  8. Hi, Melinda,

Yes, these travel bidets are small enough to conceal in your handbag without any hassles.

Therefore, they are ideal for going on trips, etc.

  9. Although thіѕ іѕ соmрасt аnd travel-ready, I uѕе this аt hоmе and іt’ѕ a gаmе-сhаngеr. It tucks away nісеlу. It’s gооd, funсtіоnаllу, delivering thе *rіght* аmоunt оf spray without any іntеrruрtіоn of flоw, duе tо thе lіttlе аіr lосk (аkа blоw hole) аt thе bоttоm of thе water vеѕѕеl. it does leak a bit from the nozzle but it’s not a mаjоr drаwbасk. Gеt fresh, my frіеndѕ — gеt a bidet.

  10. Very interesting article, I’ve used normal bidets in the past, usually when traveling, I had no idea there were actual travel bidets available! What a great idea!
I suppose there’s no real need to carry them full of water as there’s normally a water source somewhere near the facilities.
Are they only available online? I can’t recall seeing them for sale in any stores, seems like a good item to sell in airport retail outlets.
Thanks for the information, very useful.

  11. Hi there, thanks very much for your informative article about portable bidets. I like the idea that these are easily concealable in your handbag, or backpack, and your tips about not pre-filling with water before you travel. Bidets are growing in popularity and are certainly very handy for ensuring personal hygiene is maintained. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers, KD

  13. Advance My House

Yes, travel bidets are a great idea for sure!  It’s quite normal to travel with them empty, then fill it up from the bathroom sink when you are ready to use it.

You may be able to find these offline, however, they are less expensive online and it saves the headache of hopping from store to store.

Glad you found the information useful and thank you for stopping by.

  14. Hello Jason,

This contraption is remarkable, I didn’t even know that it existed. It’s a great tool for travel and public events, also to be hygienically clean all the time. The best tool to have around when you get that Ooops.

It can be a good companion for everyone as accidents can happen and spare yourself the embarrassment, now you can keep clean without having to take a shower.

    Simply brilliant!

  15. Advance My House

Awesome. Thank you for your useful input.

Travel bidets are truly a great necessity when you are on the move.

  16. Haha! I love this site. Almost makes me want to buy a bidet. I’m sure there are plenty of Europeans out there that would love these products. I would like to see the science behind all if this. I live in Asia, depending on where you live, some price use water “guns” to clean their bums.

  18. Hi Jason,
Great review of travel bidets. I myself have never used a bidet, but I have seen them while travelling through Italy, and Germany. I must admit I had no idea travel bidets existed, but they really are a great idea. Have they been around for a while, or are they a new product on the market? Are they sold in stores also, or just online?

  19. Advance My House

    Hi Jenny,

Travel bidets are a great idea for sure. From research, I can see that they first appeared in the market around mid 2011.

You can also find them in stores, but as usual, online makes it easier to find them without physically hopping around from store to store.

  20. Very interesting product. In the United States bidets haven’t caught on as well as many other countries.

I’ve understood bidets are pretty standard in some countries. However, this would be a great thing to have. It sure would beat using sandpaper TP for sure.

Thanks for a well-written article and I look forward to reading more of your posts in the future.
